The Primary School Day
The school day begins at 9.00am and finishes at 3.30pm.
Doors open at 8.30 with access to the class rooms provided at 8.40.
A charge will be applied at the rate of £7.50 for every 15 minutes a child is late being picked up.
After-School Clubs run from 3.40 – 4.40pm.
All children are personally greeted and dismissed by staff each day.
In order for children to accomplish intellectual goals, we have to create a learning environment where they are accepted and supported socially, emotionally and academically.
For us to show that each child is valued we personally greet and dismiss each pupil every day. Sometimes it is the perfect opportunity to communicate praise or check that the child is happy.
No child is allowed to leave the classroom without an authorised adult. If children are to be collected by someone other than the parents, parents must inform the staff member greeting the children. Children should not be left unattended before or after school.
Once children have been released into their parent’s care, staff cannot be held responsible for their welfare.
Early dismissal is given only in the case of emergencies. We request that all dental and doctor appointments be made outside of school hours. Children who will be leaving school early must present a written note to the teacher on arrival.
If parents are unable to collect their child they must telephone the School Administrator on 01344 890869.
In the unlikely event of a child not being collected and all attempts to contact the parent or guardian have failed, the School reserves the right to contact the Social Services Family Division for further assistance.
